Remember that the purpose of your review is to help the reader decide if the book would be interesting to read by finding out what other kids thought of the book. To do this, each review should include a brief summary of the book, as well as your opinion of the book. Finally, we’ve come up with a fun rating system for all books. Our rating system is based on ice cream scoops! If you really, really LOVED a book, you’d rate it “5 scoops.” If you didn’t like the book, you might rate it “1 scoop.” Most books will probably fall somewhere in between.
We have a few guidelines to follow because we want our readers to get the most out of your review. So, make sure you have actually read the book you are reviewing and, before you send it in, please check your review for the following:
- A brief summary of the book
- What you thought of the book
- Few grammatical and spelling errors
- No plagiarism (copying of other people’s writing) of any kind
- Review should be easy and clear to read
